The Ethical Kennel Association of South Africa (EKASA) is an independent registry and support body for breeders. EKASA is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially recognized by any government body, veterinary council, or other kennel club unless expressly stated. Membership with EKASA is voluntary and does not substitute legal compliance with South African law or other relevant regulations.

Disclaimer

EKASA provides registration, pedigree documentation, and breeder support services. While we strive for accuracy and integrity in all records, EKASA does not guarantee the health, quality, or suitability of any animal sold by breeders registered with us. EKASA is not a party to any private sale agreement between breeder and buyer, and cannot be held responsible for disputes arising from such transactions.

Independent Registry

EKASA operates as an independent registry. References to pedigrees, breeder records, or lineage documentation are maintained internally and are based on information provided by breeders. EKASA does not claim recognition, affiliation, or endorsement from KUSA, IKC, AKC, FCI, or any other national or international body unless specifically stated in writing.

Limitation of Liability

EKASA shall not be liable for any loss, damages, or disputes, whether financial, reputational, or otherwise, resulting from the breeding, sale, or ownership of any animal registered with or through EKASA. All buyers are encouraged to conduct their own due diligence when purchasing from a breeder. EKASA’s role is administrative and supportive, not legal or mediatory, except where expressly provided.

Privacy Policy

- All personal information collected (including breeder and buyer details, supporting documents, and certificates) is stored securely and used only for purposes of registration, transfer, and verification.
- EKASA will never sell or distribute personal information to third parties, except where legally required.
- Members may request correction or removal of their personal data at any time by contacting EKASA directly.

Intellectual Property

All content on the EKASA website, including text, logos, designs, and documentation, is the property of EKASA unless otherwise credited. Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or misrepresentation of EKASA’s name or materials is strictly prohibited.

Code of Conduct

All EKASA members agree to abide by responsible breeder practices. Failure to comply with EKASA’s ethical standards may result in suspension or termination of membership, at EKASA’s sole discretion. EKASA reserves the right to publish advisories in cases where public or animal welfare is at risk.

Jurisdiction

This website and EKASA’s services are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of South African courts.
